Our family camps are designed to give families a chance to enjoy all the experiences of camp together. The three different sessions throughout the summer follow a similar format. We provide structured and unstructured time for families to spend together enjoying nature and activities. We have two daily chapels with sessions geared to the specific age groups of adults, teens, young and older children. Each member of the family will be fed spiritually throughout the week.
Family Camp Two
There are a variety of activities to choose from in a week of Family Camp. Families are welcome to use our waterfront with the opportunity to relax on the sandy beach, swim in a safe area, or take a canoe, kayak or paddle board out for a paddle. We have two beach volleyball courts, as well as equipment for a 9 hole frisbee golf course, gagaball, basketball, baseball, soccer, horseshoes, shuffleboard, tether-ball, and more. Additional program options of water sports behind the power boat and/or horsemanship may be available for an extra fee once at Camp.
Our staff organize different activities for families and children of different ages. Activities like mountain biking, archery and organized games will be led to give participants a safe opportunity to learn a new skill or have some organized fun and get to know other families better. The craft hut will be open at times for both kids and adults. There is more information about the sessions toward the bottom of this page.
Dates and Rates for 2019 (Rates include all taxes!)
Pricing is all-inclusive for families. The only things you need to bring are bedding, towels and your own personal effects (and a trailer or tent if you choose to camp on-site).
Please note: Accommodations are selected just once per family during the registration process. However, each individual within the family needs to be registered individually so that we can plan accommodations and child supervision accordingly. Please contact the office at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions.
Two families that would like to share accommodation should register separately. One family would select a type of accommodation they would like to share, the other family would not select a type of accommodation. Each family would register all members of their family and note which family they are sharing with when prompted by the registration process.
Grandparents can register as an independent family and request to share with their family or they can be registered in one household with the family they’re accompanying.
Deposits & Cancellation Policy
A deposit of $200 is required to secure your reservation. The balance of fees can be paid at the time of registration or upon arrival at Family Camp.
Should you need to cancel your registration the following administration fees will apply: $25 before May 1, $100 May 1 onward, $200 if cancelled within 14 days of the camp starting.
General Information about Family Camps
Arrival time and registration is between 10:30 and 12:00 on the first day of camp. Departure is after breakfast on Saturday.
Please bring: bedding, pillows and linens (we do not provide these things in accommodations).
Extras to bring: camera, musical instrument (if you have one – there will be a talent show), Bibles, notebooks, flashlights, books, lawn chairs, baseball gloves, towels, extra waterfront equipment, insect repellent, sunscreen.
Theme meals: often we have theme meals that involve the whole family, traditionally these are such themes as: Hat Meal (wear your hat), Crayola Meal (dress up in one colour), Clone Meal (everyone in the family dresses the same), Superhero Meal (dress like your favourite hero)… There are others but these are the ones that people often prepare for (we also like to throw new ones in the mix).
Family Camp Two Speaker
Mesh Hit is the lead pastor at Meadow Brook church in Leamington Ontario.
Mesh and his wife, Laura, have two kids: a daughter, Grace, who is 9 years old, and a son, Joah, who is 7. Mesh and Laura have been married for 13 years.
We are excited that Mesh is returning for a second year to speak to the adults in our chapel ministry!
Mesh says about their experience last year, “we really enjoyed our time, with great staff, campers, and a beautiful location. It was a blessing to be the speaker that week, and we are really looking forward to going back.”
